Learn Arabic from home during the summer. Alphabet, reading and basics of conversation in 8 hours. Ideal for acquiring the fundamentals before the start of the school year.

October course

40€ • in person • 2 sessions • October 28 and 29, 2024 • 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Take advantage of the autumn holidays to discover Arabic in 4 hours. A gentle first approach, with the possibility of continuing by joining our groups.

Mars Internship

100€ • in person • 5 sessions • From March 3 to 7, 2025 • 8:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Immerse yourself in Arabic while on vacation. 10 hours to learn the alphabet, pronunciation and reading. Leave with solid foundations in a studious atmosphere.

Calligraphy

Explore the art of Arabic calligraphy in 10 hours. Get started with AL REQUAA الرُّقعة and AL DIOYANY الدّيواني styles with the materials provided. A creative and meditative experience, accessible to all.

Sa méthode, axée sur la pratique, permet aux grands débutants d'acquérir rapidement (et de façon indolore!) le déchiffrage, l'écriture, et la prononciation de l'alphabet arabe, ainsi que des éléments de conversation en Arabe Standard. Ces compétences de bases sont étayées au fur à mesure, et sont enrichies dans un second temps par des connaissances plus formelles sur la langue. Ces points sont complétés  au fil de l'eau par des éléments de civilisation, d'histoire, et de comparaison linguistiques. En un semestre de cours (2h par semaine), la progression a été incroyable, partant d'un niveau 0 pour arriver à une lecture et un niveau de compréhension écrite et orale qui me permettent déjà de comprendre et m'exprimer en situation réelle (par petits bouts!) J'ai aussi appris les premières bases de la grammaire arabe. Je sais me présenter et expliquer d'où je viens etc J'ai, bien sûr, encore du chemin à parcourir avant de pouvoir m'exprimer librement dans cette belle langue mais c'est un chemin que je suis heureux de poursuivre avec le Pr Rami Houri. Rami est un grand professeur; il sait rendre accessible, sans trop la simplifier,  la langue arabe pourtant réputée très ardue. Par ailleurs, l'ambiance dans la classe est géniale comme si le désir d'apprendre cette langue ne naissait que chez de belles personnes :-)

Certes, comme mes ami.e.s me le disent : " Ça doit être difficile ?! ". Oui, ça l'est. What do your Arabic language courses consist of?

Our Arabic language courses are short, intensive programs designed to allow you to discover or improve your Arabic. We offer different options, face-to-face in our Bordeaux school or online, with durations ranging from 4 to 10 hours spread over several sessions.

What are the advantages of taking an internship rather than regular courses?

Internships are a great option if you want to quickly acquire a solid foundation in Arabic or deepen your knowledge intensively. Unlike weekly courses, internships allow you to immerse yourself in the language, which promotes rapid progress. It is also an opportunity to concentrate fully on your learning, far from the distractions of everyday life.

Can I join your regular classes after participating in an internship?

Absolutely ! Our courses are designed to give you the fundamentals necessary to continue your learning of Arabic. Once the internship is completed, you will often have the opportunity to join one of our level groups corresponding to your skills. This is a great way to continue to progress while enjoying a more regular pace.

Do you offer personalized support to choose the internship suited to my needs?

Are your courses aimed at a particular audience?

Our courses are open to everyone, whatever your age or level. We welcome both complete beginners and people who already have some basics in Arabic and wish to refresh their skills. However, most of our trainees are adults, with our programs designed to meet their needs. If you would like to register your child, we invite you to contact us so that we can study the best option together.

I have no knowledge of Arabic. Can I still take part in an internship?

Of course ! We offer courses specially designed for complete beginners. You will learn the basics of the Arabic alphabet, pronunciation and the first notions of grammar and vocabulary. Our teacher, Rami Houri, will guide you step by step in your discovery of the language, in a caring and stimulating atmosphere.

I studied Arabic a few years ago but I no longer practice it. Which course do you recommend?

In this case, any internship could be suitable. There you will be able to reactivate your knowledge, fill any gaps and gain confidence. Our teachers will adapt to your pace to allow you to quickly regain your automatisms.

Do you provide the necessary educational materials during the courses?

For face-to-face courses, we provide you with all the equipment you will need. You don't have to plan anything, except your motivation and your desire to learn! For online courses, we will send you the documents necessary for the sessions to run smoothly in advance. You will be able to print them or consult them on your computer during classes.
